Overcoming Life’s Challenges | Family Photos

My husband and I got married at a colourful ceremony on January 11, 1986 at St. Andrews Church, Nairobi.
This photo was taken outside our home after the birth of our lastborn daughter Esther Gatura in 1993.

We enjoyed taking family photos whenever we got a chance. This was at Uhuru Park in Nairobi.
During the funeral service at CITAM Valley Road, my children and I sang the song โSoon and very soon, we are going to see the Kingโ as an encouragement that we will see him (my husband) again.

When my firstborn daughter, Carol, graduated in 2008, I was grateful to God for His mercy, grace and faithfulness.
My son, Andrew, graduated the following year in 2009 with a degree in Economics from the Catholic University of East Africa.

On August 19, 2011, Carol got married to her husband, Pst. Fred Oyola, at CITAM Karen.
In August 2013, I gained a new title โ grandmother โ with the birth of my first grandchild, Zara Imani Oyola.

I was elated to see my lastborn, Esther, graduate with a degree in Interior Design from the University of Nairobi. God had enabled me to educate my three children to University-level.
My elder sister, Njoki, has been a pillar of strength for me through the years. I was grateful to have visited her at her home in the United Kingdom for the first time in 2017.

God has been faithful to bless me with three grandchildren and two additional children. I consider myself blessed and highly favoured.
Rahab & her entire family.
