Racheal Furaha is a writer and storyteller from Kenya who enjoys stories that carry magic and meaning. Song of the Flameborn is her debut book, and the first in The Legacy of Fire, a fantasy series inspired by justice, legacy, and the silent strength of ordinary people.
When she is not writing, Racheal works on community-based health projects at a non-profit organization.
Racheal believes that words can heal, connect, and inspire hope. She grew up in a world surrounded by stories, told, read, or imagined, and still delights in being lost in a good book.
Now, Racheal is happiest when she can curl up with a novel, enjoy the pleasure of a quiet afternoon nap, and recharge enough to dream up new worlds. With her writing, Racheal draws from the place she calls home, the beauty of African folktales, and a belief in love that lasts.
Song of the Flameborn is her first book, but certainly not her last.
