In this age, there is so much information. So much I see people know. Yet even though we have stored up so much information, we still read more and more. When shall we pause for a moment and use what we have first? Many of us seem to be reading more and more with less and less to show for it.
Have you ever read anything profound but felt like it wasn’t entirely for you? I have. Sometimes you feel like you still need something more. Something you don’t know yet. Do you ask yourself – what more do I need?
Each day you may read a chapter of Proverbs or any other inspiring piece of literature but in the end it all feels distant. An ideal reality that is beyond your ability to possess. Perhaps because you feel there is something else you need to know. So you are forever reading and waiting.
But why? Why don’t you see yourself as one who can possess the results of living by the principles of whatever inspires you? What stops you? What keeps you waiting? I challenge you to ask yourself these questions. Think hard about what holds you back.
When I did, I came to the conclusion that my fears were superficial. There was no reason for them to hold me back. I could gain results that came from reading books that inspired me. So what was I waiting for? Something more? Something I did not know? What was it then? Ah! To hell with it! I decided to work with what I had.
Besides, who were such books written for if not capable readers like me and you? Who is this book written for if not a capable reader like you? If you will not achieve a prosperous life by following tips laid out for you, who are you waiting for to come and do it? I believe some promises are there for you to claim in this life. Books written you should read now. Skills you should gain now, not later.
I had no intention of reading books forever with nothing to show for it. I hope that when you’re done reading this book, you’ll have the same conviction.
