AN ODE TO THE WOMAN YOU ARE.
The restlessness around a woman’s age has never made sense to me. When I was younger, there was simply no logic to the fuss made around how long a woman has been around. As I got older, I learned about the negative nuances attached to a woman’s age and the hide and seek game women play with their age made a bit more sense.
I understand it now. But I still don’t agree with it. I love getting older. I truly do. A large part of it has to do with my walk with God. The future isn’t so daunting when you’re walking side by side with the One who created time and season.
If there’s one thing I hope you get out of this book, it’s that life is what you allow God to make it. The past doesn’t have to hold you captive. The present provides a blank canvas each morning waiting for your brush strokes. The future certainly shouldn’t terrify you. Not with the eternal depths of love God has for you.
With that, I present to you: I Am…Woman (Volume I). A series of highlights from my 20s marking places in my journey of becoming where I found God…and He found me…and life was never the same.
